Myrko Robert

Autodidact & freelance infographist, I'm into the world of visual art since 2004 under many nicknames such as Monsieur Faust, Griff and now Okrym. My interest for graphism has grown along the deep world of the Web. During my researches, I found a few great graphic communities which helped me to improve my skills with many softwares. I finally discovered a unique talent in myself. After, I opened many websites which didn't last much time. In 2007, I started a weblog named Graphize.net which talked about web actuality & my personnal accomplishments. After the first year, the blog has exceeded the 120.000 unique visits and the 250.000 page views. In 2008, I opened my first webdesign services studio under the name of Khimra Design which became Okrym Studio later. The adventure of Okrym Studio never stopped since that day. My art has no limit. I'm currently learning photography & painting.

My principals inspirations are the nature, the modern society, poetry but the main one is the music. The music for me is a key to liberate my soul away from the everyday stress. From that hobby, I used to manage a music metal label with the help of a friend. Now, I'm focusing on my studies and on several artistic & cultural projects.

Artistic Path

  • In 2004 to 2005, I'm slowly learning basics with software like Photoshop. I also have a strong interest for websites, that's why I learned XHTML and CSS. I'm participating a lot in graphic communities which were great for beginners in search of knowledge.
  • In 2006, my first online portfolio opens his doors with the name of Paranox Studio. It has been hacked six month after.
  • At the beginning of 2007, I'm working on many graphic projects with some online pals around the world. Most of those project were abandoned so I decided to start my own graphic news blog called Graphize. One year after his opening, the webzine reached 100,000 unique visits and more than 250,000 page views.
  • At the end of 2007, Graphize.net is closed down and the webzine is sold. My interest in music grown up so I decided to start my metal local webzine called Truechaos which survived 6 months.
  • In 2008, due to my lack of motivation, I decide to close down all my online projects. At the end of year, when mood became better, I open a music metal label dedicated to underground bands and finally open the first version of Okrym Studio.
  • In early 2009, the second version of Okrym Studio is put online. I try to give me a name in the local graphic scene which is very hard to do but with the help of a bit of publicity, I found a few interested clients.
  • In late 2009 to 2010, I entered in my Visual Art program in College and now I'm focusing on my personnal projects and finding a half-time job in my domain.
